Police Reports: Package Theft, Attempted Catalytic Converter Heist

The following are some of the thefts, robberies and other recent police incidents in Alexandria's West End.

Note: The addresses listed below indicates blocks and not specific addresses of incidents. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not necessarily indicate a conviction.

6:07 p.m., 100 block of North Ripley Street, a person reported someone tried to steal the catalytic converter from their vehicle.

7:05 p.m., 5400 block of North Morgan Street, a man was approached by someone who offered to sell a phone. The man said he would buy it, but would have to get cash to pay for it. Once the suspect got the cash, she drove off with the money but did not give the man the phone.

June 24

12:23 p.m., 5300 block of Essex Court, a person reported someone stole their wheel-locked motorcycle from a parking area.

June 25

10:04 a.m., 3700 block of King Street, someone entered a person’s vehicle in a parking lot next to the owner’s residence and stole cash.

11:14 a.m., 2200 block of North Beauregard Street, a person reported someone stole a UPS-delivered package from their apartment front door.

June 26

6:58 p.m., 5400 block of Duke Street, an assault was reported.

7:28 p.m., 4700 block of Kenmore Avenue, a person was arrested for urinating in public.

June 27

5:15 a.m., 6100 block of Edsall Road, a person reported a theft from their vehicle.

June 28

9 a.m., 4900 block of Seminary Road, a person reported a motor vehicle theft.
