Get Your Press Release, Newsletter or Blog on Patch

Patch has room for a few more people to join our Local Voices team.

We're looking for people who can riff on various topics, share their personality and engage our readers in discussions. Or, people affilliated with non-profits or community groups who want to post newsletter items or press releases to reach residents living in the western half of Alexandria. 

After all, Patch is more than a community news and information site—it's an online community platform.

This is not a reporting job.

You write what you want to write, when you want to write it. Do it on your schedule, whether that's posting multiple entries per week or even once a month.

Patch won't own what you post, so you can also publish your entries to other blogs, newsletters, listservs and elsewhere.

My role as editor would be to review blog entries submitted to Patch to ensure quality. I may make small spelling, grammar and style changes to help your blog shine. I might correct obvious typos, but I will not be editing them for content.

That said, we'd like your blog entries to have a local connection of some sort, and please don't advertise your "10 percent off" sale. (If you want to advertise, contact Jake Van Woerkom.)
