Traffic Safety Meeting Near John Adams Elementary

Local officials are proposing restricting traffic to right turns only onto Rayburn Avenue during peak traffic times—when students from John Adams Elementary School are arriving and departing.

A meeting about this traffic proposal will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 8) in the John Adams Elementary Media Center, 5651 Rayburn Ave.

The “peak times” will be 7:30 – 8 a.m. and 2:30 – 3 p.m., according to Lauren Hamming of Alexandria City Public Schools Educational Facilities.
