Vehicles 'Tire-Jacked' Across Alexandria
One vehicle stripped of tires and rims at West End office complex; two at Potomac Yard. Another attempt at Hammond Middle School.

Three cars were “tire-jacked” in Alexandria on Saturday according to NBC4, including two in broad daylight at the Regal Cinemas at Potomac Yard. One was a Cadillac Escalade, and another was a Dodge Charger.
A Chevy Suburban also was stripped of its tires and rims while parked at an office complex on South Bragg Street, police have reported.
Also on Saturday, "we had an attempted theft of SUV wheels in the Francis Hammond Middle School parking lot behind the gymnasium," according to an email from Mac Slover of the Alexandria Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities department. "We believe they were interrupted before they could get the wheels off the SUV."

The couple that owns the Escalade found their vehicle resting on wooden blocks after they exited a screening of “Skyfall” at the Potomac Yard movie theater.
According to an NBC4 report, police said the tire thieves acted like a NASCAR pit crew, likely bringing their own tools and finishing the job in minutes.
