The first newsletter looks at a Bus Rapid Transit proposal, Cameron Park, The Gateway at King and Beauregard and Landmark Mall.

The Bus Rapid Transit proposal would provide high-capacity transit service using a combination of dedicated and shared lanes and high quality stations with rider amenities. The West End Transitway would connect major transit facilities - Van Dorn Metro Station, Mark Center Transit Center, Shirlington Transit Center, and the Pentagon Transit Center - and several neighborhoods along the corridor - Van Dorn/Landmark, a redeveloped Landmark Mall, and Beauregard.

The Gateway at King and Beauregard, across the street from TGIFriday's, will feature an apartment building and a Harris Teeter grocery store and is expected to begin construction in 2017, according to the City.

The next step in the redevelopment of Landmark Mall: A final site plan for Engineering from Howard Hughes Corporation, the City says.
