163 to Graduate from Summer School

Graduation ceremony will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 2.

From PWCS: 

The strains of “Pomp and Circumstance” will ring out on Thursday as 163 adult and high school students in the PWCS summer school program enter the gymnasium at Stonewall Jackson High School. 

These graduates of the Class of 2012 will proudly participate in commencement exercises beginning at 7:30 p.m., wearing the cap and gown of their individual schools when they receive their diplomas.

School Board Vice Chairman Lisa E. Bell (Neabsco) and members Betty D. Covington (Potomac) and Michael E. Wooten (Occoquan) are expected to attend. 

The Adult Education and Summer School programs have held a combined graduation ceremony for the past seven years, bringing together the adults in the National External Diploma Program and GED program with the high school graduates and the 16-/17-Year-Old GED certificate recipients.
