2 Charged In Woodbridge Shooting That Killed 1 Man, Injured Another
The shooting happened Sept. 13 in the 13700 block of Telegraph Road in Woodbridge, police said.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Two people have been charged in connection with a shooting in Woodbridge that left one man dead and another one injured.
Around 7 p.m. on Sept. 13, Prince William County police officers responded to the 13700 block of Telegraph Road, where they found a 35-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 27-year-old man who was hurt in the incident ran from the scene and was found at a nearby restaurant, according to police, who said he was taken to an area hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

According to police, an investigation revealed that the two suspects were involved in an altercation with the deceased victim. When the group separated, the victim attempted to walk away and was shot.
The second victim was inadvertently shot during the incident, police said.

One of the suspects, identified as 18-year-old Jordy Lopez Campos of Woodbridge, was arrested on Tuesday at a home on Culpeper Drive in Woodbridge. The second suspect, 18-year-old David Omar Benitez Martinez of Dumfries, was arrested Friday at a home on Hampstead Ridge Court in Dumfries.
According to police, drugs and multiple firearms were recovered by officers during the arrests.
Lopez Campos was charged with murder, aggravated malicious wounding and weapons counts. Benitez Martinez was charged with four counts of principal in the second in the commission of a felony. Both men were held without bond.
