More Early Voting Sites Open In Prince William County For November Election

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — Additional early voting locations opened Sunday as Prince William County gears up for the presidential race and other key elections this November.

The five satellite locations supplement early voting at Prince William County Office of Elections (9250 Lee Ave, Suite 1, Manassas, VA), which has been offered since Sept. 20.

New early voting locations open as of Oct. 13 are: A.J. Ferlazzo Building (15941 Donald Curtis Dr, Woodbridge, VA 22191); Brentsville Courthouse (12229 Bristow Rd, Brentsville, VA 20136); DMV Woodbridge (2731 Caton Hill Rd, Woodbridge, VA 22191); Dumfries Community Center (17757 Main St, Dumfries, VA 22026); and Haymarket Gainesville Library (14870 Lightner Rd, Haymarket, VA 20169).

An acceptable form of ID is required to vote in person.

  • Weekdays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (open until 7 p.m. on Wednesdays)
  • Saturdays, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Oct. 19, Oct. 26 and Nov. 2 only)
  • Sundays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Oct. 13 and Oct. 20 only)

Drop boxes to return completed mail-in ballots are also available at all locations during early voting hours.

According to Prince William County's Office of Elections, turnout for early voting so far is 7.85 percent, which reflects 13,723 early voting in person and 12,155 mail-in ballots returned. The county has 329,857 registered voters. Prince William Times reported that early voting so far is not reaching 2020 levels but noted that additional early voting sites were opening around the county.

Here are the upcoming deadlines to know for the Nov. 5, 2024 general election:

  • Oct. 15: Deadline for voter registration (same-day registration available through Election Day with provisional ballot), 5 p.m. in person or 11:59 p.m. online
  • Oct. 25: Deadline to request a mail-in ballot (application not required for in-person voting)
  • Nov. 2: Last day to vote early in person, by 5 p.m.
  • Nov. 5: Deadline to return mail-in ballot, postmarked by Nov. 5 or returned in person by 7 p.m.
  • Nov. 5: Election Day, polling places open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
