Body Found In Creek Identified: Prince William County Police
According to the police department, the body belongs to Charles Leon Bryant III, 35, of Dumfries. He'd been missing for several days.
DUMFRIES, VA—The Prince William County Police Department has located the body of a man who had been missing for several days.
According to the police department, he's been identified as Charles Leon Bryant III, 35, of Dumfries. His body was found in a creek over the Labor Day holiday.
On Monday at 10:24 a.m., police said they responded to the area of the Quantico Creek, which is located near the intersection of Old Triangle Road and Milroy Drive in Dumfries for a report of an unconscious man.

According to police, a caller reported to officers that they were fishing in the area when they noticed a body in the creek.
When fire and rescue personnel arrived on the scene, police said they removed the body and pronounced Bryant deceased.

Police said Bryant was reported missing by family members to Prince William County police on Sept. 6 after he was not heard from in a few days. He was not considered endangered at the time of the report, they said.
Bryant's body was transported to the medical examiner's office for an autopsy and determination of cause of death.
At this time, police said there is no threat to the community concerning the death and more information will be released when available. Officers continue to investigate.
