Expanded Early Voting Locations, Times Approved By Prince William Supervisors
Starting with the November general election, new policies on early voting in Prince William County are planned to take effect.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — Prince William County voters will have more places to vote early after approval by the Board of County Supervisors Tuesday.
The board voted to use five voter satellite office locations for all countywide elections and make permanent voter satellite office locations for special elections. The action also sets start dates of voter satellite office openings for elections, expanding weekend voting opportunities.
The county had set up limited early voting locations for certain elections in 2021, but location inconsistency caused confusion among voters. The county has five satellite sites, but not all are used at the same time. The county has used two sites during primary elections and four during general elections, but locations have varied by type of election.

The Office of Elections sought changes to make five locations consistent for all elections and provide broader early voting access at popular voting times.
"The Office of Elections recommended these changes based on data and best practices in election management," said Eric Olsen, Prince William County's director of elections. "We appreciate the Board making these changes, as it will expand options for our voters here in Prince William County starting this November."

The board action also set satellite office openings at 10 days before primary and special elections to the Saturday before the election.
