Free Holiday Walk of Lights Returns To Woodbridge Park In 2025

The free holiday lights walk includes special nights with holiday markets, characters like the Grinch and Frosty the Snowman and more.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Families looking for some free holiday fun can head to the Holiday Walk of Lights at Neabsco Regional Park and Boardwalk starting Thursday through much of December.

This is the fourth year Prince William County Parks and Recreation has held the Holiday Walk of Lights. On select days in December when the holiday display is open, visitors can enjoy a nearly mile-long walking path of light displays that extends onto the boardwalk. Photo opps are provided along the route for families to take holiday pictures. Food trucks will be on site to sell concessions like sweet treats and hot beverages.

Select nights will have special events. The Grinch and Frosty the Snowman will appear on Dec. 4, 5, 9, 12, 19 and 28. A holiday market will be held on Dec. 6, 13, 20 and 27, and carolers will perform on Dec. 4, 12, 19 and 21.

A Sensory Friendly Night will be held on Dec. 9, providing people with disabilities a chance to see the light display with less crowding, lower music volume and less flashing lights. A shuttle bus will be provided to and from the parking lot at Rippon Middle School (15101 Blackburn Rd.) to the park.

Visitors to the Holiday Walk of Lights are asked to park at the Rippon Station VRE Lot (15511 Farm Creek Dr.) to take a free shuttle bus to the park. Parking on the shoulder of Blackburn Road is not permitted. The last shuttle buses pick up at 8:30 p.m.

Accessible parking is available at Neabsco Regional Park (15125 Blackburn Rd.). Additional parking with ADA accessible shuttle and a DPR Cool Bus shuttle will be available at Mary G. Porter Traditional School (5311 Forest Grove Dr.). The Mary G. Porter Traditional School will be closed for parking on Dec. 5, 9, and 11, and the shuttle location will be moved those days to Rippon Middle School (15101 Blackburn Rd.)

Hours for the display are 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 4 to 7, 11 to 14, 18 to 23 and 27 to 28, plus 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 9 for Sensory Friendly Night.
