DUMFRIES, VA—A man was arrested Sunday afternoon after assaulting a woman and then throwing a knife at a man in the 16000 block of Geddy Court, according to Prince William County Police. Sean Dont'ae Ashford, 21, of the aforementioned address, was charged with malicious wounding, domestic assault and battery and possession of marijuana.

Shortly after 2:30 p.m., police responded to the home for a reported domestic incident. They found that Ashford and the woman—a 42-year-old family member—had been involved in an argument that escalated. That's when he pushed her before going to another area of the residence.

He then began arguing with a 29-year-old man—an acquaintance—and threw a knife at him. They eventually separated and police were contacted, after which officers found marijuana in his room. Ashford was arrested without incident.
