Man Charged in Woodbridge Assault/Strangulation
Tyreek Jason Clark, 30, was arrested Friday and charged with five counts for the July 9 assault of a woman in Woodbridge.

A Prince William area man was arrested Friday for allegedly assaulting and choking a woman in Woodbridge.
Prince William County police responded to the 14600 block of Potomac Mills Road in Woodbridge the morning of July 9 to investigate an alleged assault. The victim, a 30-year-old woman with no fixed address, told police she was involved in a physical altercation with a known acquaintance who reportedly choked her and prevented her from leaving to get help.
The victim retrieved her phone and attempted to contact police when the suspect took the phone and broke it, according to a police report. The suspect fled before police arrived.

Tyreek Jason Clark, 30, was located in a wooded area behind the Potomac Festival Shopping Center Aug. 1 and was arrested without incident.
Clark was charged with abduction, strangulation, assault & battery, preventing the summoning of law enforcement and destruction of property.
