DUMFRIES, VA—A pedestrian has died of injuries suffered in a hit-and-run crash Feb. 21 in the area of Graham Park Road and Old Triangle Road, according to Prince William County Police. They were notified Tuesday of the death of Gregory D. Sawyer, 62, of Dumfries, and an autopsy Wednesday confirmed his injuries were sustained from being hit by a vehicle.

A witness took a photo of the suspected vehicle (see above), which appears to be a light-colored, newer model Ford F350 pickup. The driver has yet to be found.

Around 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 21, police responded to the scene and found that a vehicle was making a right turn from eastbound Graham Park Road onto southbound Old Triangle Road when it hit the man, who was crossing the road. The vehicle stopped briefly before continuing south on Old Triangle Road. Anyone with information is urged to call police at 703-792-6500.
