Man Fatally Crushed While Working Under Vehicle In Woodbridge: Police

A 19-year-old man died Monday in Woodbridge after the vehicle he was working on fell on top of him, the police department said.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A teenager died in Woodbridge on Monday when the vehicle he was working on fell on top of him, the Prince William County Police Department said.

Authorities have not identified the victim by name, only describing him as a 19-year-old man.

No other injuries were reported, and investigators do not suspect foul play.

The incident occurred around 2:45 p.m. on Monday in the 13400 block of Greenacre Drive in Woodbridge, according to the police report. Authorities said the man was working under the vehicle when it fell on top of him and pinned him.

Fire and rescue personnel arrived and confirmed that the man died at the scene.

"Preliminarily, there are no signs of foul play," the police department said. "The cause of death has not been confirmed and will be pending an autopsy by the Medical Examiner’s Office."
