Man Wanted For Strangling Woman Arrested In Woodbridge: Police
A man who had been on the lam for about a week after assaulting a woman in Woodbridge was arrested Saturday, according to PWC Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA—A man who had been on the lam for about a week after assaulting a woman in the 15200 block of Cloverdale Road was arrested Saturday, May 4, according to Prince William County Police. Danny Edward Caceras, 21, of the 14700 block of Candlewood Court in Woodbridge, was charged with strangulation, false identity to law enforcement and identity theft.
Shortly after 5 p.m. on April 27, police were dispatched to the aforementioned area for a reported assault. They found that a 20-year-old woman was with Caceras, an acquaintance, when they began arguing as they left the residence.
When they got outside, the argument escalated and Caceras strangled the woman. She tried to walk away but he grabbed her arm and then her neck, causing her to briefly lose consciousness. A witness heard the altercation and was able to separate the two. Minor injuries were reported, and police obtained a warrant for Caceras' arrest.

When they found him, he tried to avoid arrest by giving officers false identification. But police confirmed his real ID and arrested him without incident.
