Murder-Suicide Reported In Triangle Home, Child Unhurt: Police
Two people were killed in a murder-suicide at a home in Triangle on Sunday, authorities said. A 3-year-old child in the home was not harmed.
TRIANGLE, VA — Two people suffered fatal gunshot wounds in a murder-suicide at a home in Triangle on Sunday evening, the Prince William County Police Department said.
Authorities identified the victims as a husband and wife, 42-year-old Nicholas Allen Smith Withrow and 30-year-old Brittnee Yvonne Posey. A 3-year-old girl was also at the home when the shooting occurred, but she was unharmed.
Investigators said they are not looking for suspects, as Posey and Smith Withrow appeared to be the only people involved in the shooting.

The shooting occurred just after 6 p.m. on Sunday on Cabin Road in Triangle, the police report said. Family members said they received concerning texts about an argument between Posey and Smith Withrow. The victims were already dead when family members arrived, authorities said.
Police officers recovered a firearm at the scene. Family members took custody of the toddler, who was at the home when the shooting occurred.
