Update: Power Outages In Prince William County Affect 11,000
NOVEC and Dominion reported that more than 11,000 residents in Prince William County were without power on Tuesday morning.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — Thousands of people in Prince William County were without power on Monday morning as a winter storm dumped snow on the region. At 9 a.m. on Tuesday, NOVEC and Dominion Power reported that more than 11,000 customers were still without power.
Dominion estimated that 7,700 of its more than 85,000 customers were without power on Tuesday morning, more than 24 hours after a winter storm began to dump snow on the region.

NOVEC said that around 3,400 of their customers in Prince William County were dealing with outages on Tuesday. The company provides power to approximately 87,000 customers in the county, according to their outage map.
On Monday morning, the Prince William County Police Department urged residents to stay off roadways if at all possible. "Road conditions are rapidly deteriorating across the county and several additional hours of snow are expected," the police department said on social media. "Please stay off the roads and avoid non-essential travel until conditions improve."
