Suspect Arrested In Murder Of Woodbridge Man: Police

A man was arrested for the shooting deaths of a Woodbridge man and an Alexandria woman, who were found dead inside a running car.

BURTONSVILLE, MD — A West Virginia man was arrested for the fatal shooting of a Woodbridge man and an Alexandria woman who were found dead inside a car in a parking lot in Burtonsville, Md. this February.

Police charged Gregory Terrell Jones, 24, of Martinsburg, with two counts of first-degree murder. Jones is accused of killing Ashley Susan Dickinson, 34, of Alexandria, Va. and Joshua Michael Frazier, 29, of Woodbridge, Va in a heroin transaction gone bad.

The victims were found shot to death in a car in a parking lot in the 14100 block of Aldora Circle on Feb. 15, police said. Dickinson was found in the driver's seat, while Frazier was in the front passenger seat, police said. Police call the deaths "suspicious" and said a passerby found the victims deceased in a white Audi SUV with the engine running.

Montgomery County police announced that they believed the shooting was not a random event and there was prior association between the victims and suspects.

Detectives discovered Frazier and his cousin—Tyshon Jones, 25, of Bunker Hill, Wv.—were involved in the double homicide in Burtonsville.

Two days after the Burtonsville murders, Tyshon Jones was shot and killed in a shooting at the Coco Loco nightclub in Berkeley County, Wv. on Feb. 17. Police said Tyshon's .45 caliber handgun was recovered at the scene of the club.

A second suspect fired rounds from a 9mm handgun at the club and fled the scene. Investigators identified the second shooter as Gregory Jones. Forensic analysis of a 9mm shell casing recovered from the night club scene and a 9mm shell casing recovered from the Burtonsville murders revealed that both rounds of ammunition were fired from the same gun, police said.

Police believe Frazier traveled to Aldora Circle to collect money that Gregory Jones owed him from a previous heroin transaction.
