A standoff with a SWAT team ended with the arrest of three people in a home with someone else's two young children in Dumfries: PWC Police.

DUMFRIES, VA—A standoff with a SWAT team ended with the arrest of three people who barricaded themselves in a home with someone else's two young children Friday night in the 3600 block of Masthead Trail, according to Prince William County Police. The children were unharmed.

Shortly after 7:30 p.m., police were dispatched to the scene for a reported fight involving weapons. They found that the homeowner, a 33-year-old woman, made arrangements with two unknown men to give her a tattoo at her residence. They arrived with an unknown woman, and while standing outside the home became involved in an argument with neighborhood residents.

Someone flashed a gun, and the three people assaulted the neighbors before running into the tattoo seeker's home, where they locked her out with her two kids (a 4-year-old boy and 10-year-old girl) inside. Crisis negotiators and members of the department's SWAT team arrived and were able to get the suspects to release the children. All three suspects eventually came out and were arrested without further incident.
