Woman Assaults Man With Broom Handle In Woodbridge: Police

A woman was arrested after assaulting a man with a broom handle at an apartment in Woodbridge, according to Prince William County Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA—A woman was arrested Thursday after assaulting a man with a broom handle at an apartment in the 14000 block of Westminster Lane, according to Prince William County Police. Elizabeth Frimpong, 26, of the same address, was charged with malicious wounding and domestic assault.

Shortly after 2 p.m., police responded to the home for a reported domestic assault. A 27-year-old man said he and Frimpong—a family member—were involved in an argument that escalated. That's when Frimpong broke a broom and used the handle to pummel the man in the upper body. Minor injuries were reported, and Frimpong was held without bond after being arrested.
