Woodbridge Man, 19, Killed In Dumfries Shooting: Police

The Prince William County police are searching for the individual who shot and killed a 19-year-old Woodbridge man on Monday night.

DUMFRIES, VA — A 19-year-old Woodbridge man was shot to death Monday night in Dumfries, according to the Prince William County police, and detectives are investigating the shooting. The police said Tuesday that the name of the victim would not be disclosed for investigative purposes.

Officers responded at 9:47 p.m. Monday to reports of shots fired in the 16900 block of Porters Inn Drive, according to a police report.

When they arrived, they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The officers and emergency personnel provided first aid to the victim, but he was pronounced dead on scene.

A police K-9 team and a Fairfax County police helicopter searched the area for the shooter, but he was not located, the police said.
