Most Of 28 Violations Not Corrected: Woodbridge Restaurant Inspections

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Health inspectors found violations not corrected during follow-up inspections at several restaurants during recent inspections in the Woodbridge area.

Health inspectors conduct most restaurant and other health inspections in person. However, some visits, such as those for training purposes, can be conducted virtually. Violations typically focus on factors that can contribute to food contamination. The local health department can also perform a re-inspection to ensure that possible violations have been corrected.

For every observed violation, the inspector provides a specific corrective action that can be completed to rectify the violation. Sometimes these are simple, and violations can be corrected during the course of the inspection. Other violations are addressed later, and an inspector may conduct a follow-up inspection to ensure compliance.

Here are the most recent inspections from the Woodbridge and eastern Prince William County area, according to the Prince William Health District. However, inspectors found Electric Palm Restaurant and did not have most violations corrected during the follow-up inspection. Electric Palm Restaurant had 28 violations during its Aug. 1 inspection. Another restaurant, Tacos Don Juan, had 16 violations at its previous inspection in April and not all corrected at the follow-up.

• The black connections, previously added to the original wastewater pipes of the 3 compartment sink so that the original air gaps were eliminated, were replaced with white PVC pipes. Unfortunately, the air gaps have still been eliminated.
