Woodbridge Woman's 7 Children 'Lucked Out' With Her As Mom

WOODBRIDGE, VA— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

What makes your Mom extra special?

Our mom has been the mother and father for our entire life—even though our dad was there, he was not present. Our mom has always been there for all 7 of us no matter what. She is there whenever we call, ready to help any way she can. She is the mold that has held us together as a close family and who has shown us more love than a mother could give. She is also a nanny to her 4-year-grandson, who she adores. Our mom deserves to be awarded and pampered on Mother's Day. We lucked out when we got her for a mother. She always puts us before her and right now she is having a medical issue, and we are hoping for a good outcome after her surgery in a few weeks.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

She is the most amazing mother a child could ask for. She does whatever she can for us without any hesitation, she is the backbone of this family and always has been. She deserves this more than I or my brothers can say, because our mom will do anything for anyone in need especially animals—she is a huge animal lover and has 3 of her own. Mom is our everything and we can’t picture life without her ever.
