Five Things You Need to Know Today: March 7

Happy Monday. Because we couldn't help it, here's six things you need to know today.

1. The Bellevue City Council holds a regular meeting and study session tonight. Among the topics at the meeting tonight will be the upcoming Interstate 405 closure in April and information on the U.S. Census. The regular meeting starts 8 p.m. The study session starts at 6 p.m., but starts with a topic that is closed to the public, regarding a real estate transaction.

2. Put your useless knowledge to use. Tonight is trivia night at the . Trivia starts at 8 p.m. Cost is $1 per person, food and drink specials will be available.

3. Friends, Philosophy and Tea offers a Each class will include a teaching on a Buddhist topic, followed by a guided meditation, question and answer session and refreshments. The class is $10 for the general public, and $5 for students, seniors and the unemployed.

4. Trying to get your parent or grandparent online?  Tomorrow morning, at Phantom Lake Elementary School for people over 50 who have questions about PC software or hardware. It starts at 9:30 a.m. at Phantom Lake Elementary, 1050 160th Ave SE, Bellevue, WA 98008 (Room 213).

5. In case you missed it: the Bellevue High School Wolverines basketball team are second in the state, after the WIAA 3A title game on Saturday.

6. Bonus thing: Dale Bateman, a Bellevue resident and a member of the Thirteenth District staff of the U.S. Coast Guard, will be a contestant on “Wheel of Fortune” tonight. Wheel of Fortune is on KOMO (channel 4) at 7 p.m.
