Five Things You Need to Know Today: Nov. 29

The Turf and Landscape Show is on at the Meydenbauer Center, and four other things that you need to know today.

1. The Washington Turf and Landscape Show, sponsored by Western Washington Golf Course Superintendents Association, begins today at the , at 11100 NE 6th. The Washington Turf and Landscape Show offers a chance to discuss landscape and turf issues with the experts from around the Puget Sound. Exhibitors will be on hand today, and people can pre-register for seminars to be held throughout the show. For more information click on www.wwgcsa.org

2. Looking to perfect your English? The , 1111 110th Ave NE, hosts Talk Time at 1:30 p.m. today, an opportunity to practice speaking and to learn about American culture. It's free and registration is not required.

3. If you are also looking into becoming a U.S. citizen, return to the Bellevue library, 1111 110th Ave NE, at 7 p.m. for free help with all stages of the process for becoming a United States citizen. The help is individualized and covers everything from completing the application forms to preparing for a successful interview.

4. offers Buddhist Meditation class every Monday from 7 - 8:30 p.m. Each class will include a teaching on a Buddhist topic, followed by a guided meditation, question and answer session and refreshments. Each class is a part of a series and yet self-contained. You can come to any or all classes and still find something beneficial to take away.

5. Show off your brain power tonight. 15600 NE 8th, hosts Trivia Night tonight at 8 p.m. Cost is $1 per person, and food and drink specials will be available.
