Some Bellevue Utility Customers To See Corrected Bills

About 4,000 Bellevue residents got utility bills that mistakenly doubled the amount owed. A correction was mailed Thursday.

About 4,000 Bellevue residents got utility bills that mistakenly listed twice the amount that customers owed, according to the City of Bellevue. A corrected bill was mailed Thursday.

The bills with the mistake were sent out early last week, and showed both the correct bill amount and exactly double the amount, according to city spokesman David Grant. The problem was with the printing of the bill, but customers' accounts showed the correct amounts owed, he said.

The city utility department mailed out corrected bills to affected customers Thursday. Anyone with questions can call 425-452-6973.
