Touching Holiday Message, Big Tip Left On Bellevue Diner Receipt

The CEO of Aegis Living surprised staff at a Bellevue restaurant when he left a hefty tip.

BELLEVUE, WA -- The CEO of Aegis Living surprised staff at a Bellevue restaurant recently when he left a hefty tip. WLTX reported that Dwayne Clark gave the staff at The Brief Encounter a $3,000 tip last week.

"The staff at The Brief Encounter Cafe in Bellevue say he's a regular customer on the weekends," the news station reported. "They describe him as a friendly, low-key guy who always sits in the same booth and orders the same breakfast."

Clark apparently left the tip on a breakfast bill that was only $39.60, WLTX reported.

WLTX said on the receipt, he left the following note: "You guys do a great job! When I was 7, I washed dishes and my mom cooked in a diner like this. We were dirt poor and didn't have money for Christmas. Hopefully, this will help all of you have a better Christmas."
