Update: Bellevue Police Foundation Raises $61,000 for programs
Approximately 175 Eastside business leaders gathered and raised $61,000 for the Bellevue Police Foundation breakfast, which featured speaker King County Prosecuting Attorney Dan Satterberg.
The Bellevue Police Foundation, at its second annual fundraising breakfast last week, raised about $61,000 to support the purchase of crime fighting tools and equipment for the . That figure tops last year’s total by $23,000. Approximately 175 Eastside business leaders gathered at The Hyatt Regency Bellevue on March 23rd for the event, which was presented by Puget Sound Energy, The and The Bellevue Collection.
To date, a portion of the funds raised in 2010 helped support the Police Forensic Lab with crime lab digital forensic equipment instrumental in solving a recent ATM skimming case and Roc, the new K-9 officer, who made a personal appearance at the breakfast. The 2011 funds will support a new hostage communication system and T-3 vehicle for the Bellevue Downtown Unit.
