VIEWFINDER: Bellevue Fire Fighters Continue to Raise Money for Leukemia and Lymphoma
Bellevue fire fighter Camari Olson was the fastest in her age group and category, and the 16th fastest woman overall, in the annual fundraiser on Sunday. The Bellevue firefighters honored Taylor Turk, 12, who has leukemia.
Earlier this week, Bellevue Patch posted about the in the Scott Fire Fighter Stairclimb, which raises money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Read that story on more details stats on how our local fire fighters did in the challenge, which drew 1,500 men and women from all over the world.
Bellevue fire fighter Camari Olson was the fastest in her age group and category, and the 16th fastest woman overall, in the annual fundraiser on Sunday. The Bellevue firefighters made the climb this year in honor of Taylor Turk, 12, who was diagnosed with leukemia last year.
You can still help the Bellevue Fire Department raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society until the end of the month. Click here for the link to their team, which has raised more than $2,600 so far. Donations will be accepted until March 31. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society raises money for blood cancer research and provides information to families affected by blood cancers.
