Brother Stabs Brother In Domestic Dispute: Police
Edmonds police say a man called 911 after stabbing his own brother for reasons that are still unclear. The victim is in critical condition.

EDMONDS, WA - A drunk man's call to 911 on Tuesday ultimately ended in his own arrest after Edmonds police learned the 911 caller had allegedly stabbed his younger brother during an argument. The victimized brother is in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, police officials said.
The 911 call for an "aid car" came in around 2 p.m. Jan. 29, Edmonds police spokesman Sgt. Shane Hawley said. In response, officers were dispatched to a home in the 7600-block of 203rd Street Southwest.
Dispatchers reported the caller, a 49-year-old man, would not answer questions over the phone and gave police no indication the situation was an urgent emergency.

When officers arrived at the home they found the 911 caller standing in the driveway. Visibly intoxicated, the man led officers to the home's backyard, where they found another man bleeding profusely from a stab wound to his chest, Hawley said.
The victim, the 911 caller's 45-year-old brother, received immediate first aid for his wound before he was taken to Harborview, Hawley said, adding the knife believed to have caused the wound was taken as evidence.

Investigating officers reportedly learned the brothers lived at the home together and had not been getting along recently. However, what specifically precipitated the stabbing is still unclear, Hawley said.
This incident is under investigation.
