Edmonds Councilman Strom Peterson Announces Re-Election Bid

Peterson said he plans a kickoff party for his campaign in March.

Citizens, service organizations, and elected officials are adding their names in support of Edmonds City Councilman, Strom Peterson, as he announces his intention to run to retain his Council seat. This diverse group expresses confidence in Peterson's leadership, dedication to Edmonds, and knowledge of the current economic climate. Endorsements include former and current representatives from across the state, county, and city and the political spectrum and include:

  • Your local Edmonds Firefighters (IAFF #1828)
  • Edmonds Mayor Dave Earling
  • State Representative Marko Liias
  • Former Edmonds Mayor Gary Haakenson
  • Snohomish County Council President Stephanie Wright
  • Former Edmonds City Council Member Deanna Dawson
  • And many of your fellow Edmonds residents.

Endorsers spoke highly of Peterson's record and service to Edmonds. “Strom has brought a wonderful spirit and creativity to the Council,” said State Representative Marko Liias, “Along with a commitment to doing the hard work it takes to get things done.”

Peterson acknowledged the difficult economic challenges facing Edmonds. “Edmonds is facing tight budgets for years to come, but we are all committed to working together to promote Edmonds as a great place to live, visit and do business”, said Peterson.

Peterson expressed appreciation for the diverse support his campaign has gained. “Their confidence and trust means a lot to me. My only goal is to be a good public servant.”
