Write on the Sound Announces 2012 Winners
The annual event drew more than 275 participants.

The City of Edmonds Arts Commission and the Write on the Sound Writers’ Conference Steering Committee have announced the winners of its 2012 Writing Contest.
The 27th annual Write on the Sound (WOTS), , brought more than 275 participants to Edmonds from across the Pacific Northwest and 11 states outside Washington.
One of the highlights of the conference was the WOTS Literary Contest, sponsored by Heather Krause and Patricia Thorpe of RBC Wealth Management in Edmonds.

This year’s theme was “destination(s),” and more than 80 entries were submitted in the categories of fiction, nonfiction and poetry. A panel of independent judges selected the winning entries and the awards were announced during the conference on Oct. 6 by WOTS Steering Committee chair Joanne Otness.
