9/11 Survivor To Share Resiliency Story With Citizen Airmen

Tim Brown will speak to the deploying Citizen Airmen of the 446th Airlift Wing at JBLM Saturday afternoon.

JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, WA —A survivor of the 2001 terrorist attack in New York City will speak this weekend at the December Unit Training Assembly at the Joint Base Lewis-McChord Chapel Annex.

Tim Brown, a retired FDNY firefighter who also was among the first responders to the 1993 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center and the 1995 terrorist attack in Oklahoma City, will share his resiliency story with the soon-to-be-deployed Citizen Airmen of the 446th Airlift Wing at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 1.

With nearly 300 Citizen Airmen deploying, the mobilization is being described as the largest of its kind since 2009.
