Annual Fishing Event For Kids This Weekend In Lakewood
Tickets are still available for one of three morning sessions at American Lake Park this Saturday.

LAKEWOOD, WA — The city's annual fishing event at American Lake Park is this weekend, and tickets for one of three fishing sessions are still available.
Recently renamed "The Ray Evans Memorial Fishing Event for Kids" in honor of Ray Evans, a local World War II hero and longtime member of Trout Unlimited, the annual fishing event is open to kids 5 through 14 years old. Tickets are $15 per child, and each purchase includes a rod, reel, and permission to catch two fish.
As of 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, more than 70 tickets were still available for one of the three sessions scheduled for May 18 at 9, 10, and 11 a.m. at American Lake Park, located at 9222 Veterans Dr. SW.
