Lakewood Man Added To 'Insurance Fraud Most Wanted' List
Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler's office says Anfernee Aldan filed a false insurance claim, and then skipped his court date.

LAKEWOOD, WA — A Lakewood man has been added to the Insurance Commissioner's most wanted list, after officers say he filed a false insurance claim and then skipped out on his court hearing.
According to Insurance Commissioner Mike Kriedler's Office, Anfernee Aldan, 26, bought a GEICO policy for his 2014 Nissan Maxima on Feb. 6, 2020, around 7 a.m. Just a few hours later, he then filed a claim for a crash on I-5 that he said took place at 9 a.m. that day.
However, after investigating and checking tow truck receipts, a GEICO adjuster found that the crash had actually happened at 1 a.m. that morning — before Aldan had bought the insurance.

Aldan's case was then handed to Kreidler's office, who says Aldan is now facing felony charges for filing a false claim. After failing to appear at Pierce County Superior Court to face those charges, a bench warrant for his arrest has been issued, with no chance for bail.
