Pierce County's Explorations Speakers Series Begins This Month
The first three events will cover Washington's worst storms, living in the Elizabethan era, and preserving endangered species in the PNW.

STEILACOOM, WA - From Washington's notorious storms to living in the Elizabethan era to helping save and preserve local endangered species, the Pierce County Library System's Exploration Speakers Series kicking off this month promises not only to educate but also inspire.
Featuring experts from Humanities Washington, the monthly talks at Steilacoom High School Library are free thanks to a partnered sponsorship between the Friends of Steilacoom Library and the Steilacoom Historical Museum Association.
"These events are much more than a presentation. They are a trip back in time," PCLS spokeswoman Mary Getchell said in a statement. "One speaker will use photos, radio and TV clips to share the stories of those who survived some of the worst weather in history, while another will present information dressed in full period costume. The interactive talks will truly be experiences."
