Semi-Trailer Fire On I-5 Slows Traffic Tuesday Morning: WSP
A stalled semi-truck hauling celery reportedly caught fire just after 10 a.m. Tuesday, forcing the closure of several northbound lanes.

LAKEWOOD, WA — A semi-trailer fire on northbound Interstate 5 at milepost 127 reduced traffic to one lane Tuesday morning. Shortly after the fire began, Washington State Department of Transportation and West Pierce Fire & Rescue officials reported a second crash in the southbound lanes in the same area.
WSDOT's Tacoma Traffic Twitter account announced a stalled truck on the interstate just after 10 a.m. Nov. 20 caught fire, sending plumes of smoke into the clear blue morning sky. A photo later tweeted by Washington State Patrol Trooper Johnna Batiste showed the trailer was reportedly transporting celery.
