Soldiers Hurt When Truck Crashes Into Formation At JBLM

Six soldiers at JBLM were injured Friday morning when a truck accidentally crashed into their formation.

JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, WA — Six soldiers were reportedly struck by a truck during morning formation at Joint Base Lewis-McChord Friday. Two of the soldiers sustained critical injuries in what base officials are calling an accident.

The collision occurred around 7:30 a.m. when a truck driver inadvertently turned his rig into the soldiers' formation. All six soldiers were hurt, though four reportedly sustained lesser injuries.

"(The truck driver) could not see where he was going because his windows were fogged up," JBLM spokesman Gary Dangerfield told The News Tribune.
