Today in Lakewood-JBLM: The Secret Lives of Stars at Pierce College
The Pierce College Fort Steilacoom Science Dome will hold a live astronomy presentation followed by the full-dome video, "The Secret Lives of Stars."
Join us for a 1-hour program that starts with a half-hour live astronomy presentation followed by the full-dome video, "The Secret Lives of Stars" (description below). A question and answer period will follow the movie if time permits.
This program is appropriate for a general audience. Please be aware when bringing little children that it gets dark in the dome.
No food or beverages are allowed in the Science Dome.
Secret Lives of Stars
Not all stars are created equal. Some are massive and others are tiny; almost insignificant. The specific characteristics of a star will determine what kind of life it will lead, how long it will live and even the type of death it will die. We will witness the amazing variety of stars and peer into their secret lives. Narrated by Sir Patrick Stewart of TV's Star Trek: The Next Generation and the X-men films.Â
