‱ Brandy's Law brings some peace to victim of fatal dog attack (lynnwoodtimes.com) — Lynnwood’s new “Brandy’s Law” takes effect today, tightening rules for dangerous and potentially dangerous dogs and requiring stricter restraints and penalties for owners. Passed 5–2 by the City Council after emotional debate tied to past neighborhood attacks, the ordinance clarifies when a dog can be deemed dangerous and what documentation is needed if another pet must be euthanized after an attack.
   

‱ Demolition begins on property that housed Edmonds' Value Village (myedmondsnews.com) — Demolition has begun on the former Edmonds Value Village building at Highway 99 and 216th, a key junction serving Edmonds, Lynnwood and Mountlake Terrace. Verdant Health Commission is clearing the site as South County Fire considers buying it for a new fire and EMS station, a move that could significantly improve emergency response for nearby Lynnwood neighborhoods.
