• County closes Lynnwood officer-involved shooting investigation, awaiting prosecutor's decision (lynnwoodtoday.com) — Investigators have finished reviewing the February 2024 officer-involved shooting in Lynnwood and have turned the case over to the Snohomish County Prosecutor for a charging decision. The shooting followed a stolen vehicle striking a 13-year-old in the Alderwood Target parking lot and a later freeway offramp shootout. My Lynnwood News is seeking case records from SMART and Lynnwood police and will publish updates when released.
   

• Edmonds School Board hears Scriber Lake students' stories (lynnwoodtoday.com) — Students and families in the Lynnwood-area Edmonds School District heard powerful stories from Scriber Lake High students about how the alternative school helped them recover academically and personally. The school board also reviewed Scriber's plan to boost graduation rates, recognized student athletes and Open Doors graduates, and approved new policies on student discipline, ethics, and handling complaints about board conduct.
   

• Economic Alliance holds Legislative Kickoff event feat. Panelists Low, Eslick, Berg, and Liias (lynnwoodtimes.com) — State lawmakers representing Snohomish County districts, including areas near Lynnwood, outlined their 2026 priorities at a Legislative Kickoff hosted by the Economic Alliance of Snohomish County in Everett. They discussed funding big transportation projects like the US 2 trestle and Everett Link, business taxes and regulations, workforce training, childcare access, and housing reforms that could shape jobs, commuting, and economic conditions for Lynnwood-area residents.
