• Suspect charged in deadly shooting at Seattle hookah lounge (fox13seattle.com) — A 30-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in a deadly December shooting at a South Seattle hookah lounge, after investigators tied him to surveillance video and DNA evidence. While the main case is in Seattle, the story’s related coverage also notes police have identified two victims in a separate Mercer Island murder-suicide investigation, underscoring recent serious incidents around the Island.

Found lost dog on SE 72nd ST by the lakes. Taking him to the king county rescue in Kent. (Nextdoor Mid Mercer Island) - A water main break at East Marginal Way and Diagonal Ave S in Seattle caused significant traffic congestion on northbound SR 99, but the issue has since been cleared.
