$1,000 Reward For Info On Fatal Hit And Run

Ariel Vazquez Lopez was killed in a hit and run collision in Spanaway on Tuesday. Crime Stoppers is now offering a reward for tips.

SPANAWAY, WA - A $1,000 reward has been offered for any information that leads to an arrest and charges filed against whomever is responsible for the hit and run death of 40-year-old Ariel Vazquez Lopez, who was struck by a car in Spanaway Tuesday night and left to die.

According to Crime Stoppers of Tacoma/Pierce County, Lopez was walking along 152nd Street East on Jan. 15 when he was struck in the 1400-block by a westbound vehicle β€” possibly a white Toyota Camry built between 1997 and 2001. A passerby reportedly came upon Lopez around 7:45 p.m.

Lopez was treated for critical injuries but later died, Crime Stoppers officials said.

Along the shoulder of the road, near where Lopez was found, investigators picked up a damaged passenger-side mirror, which police reportedly used to help identify a possible suspect vehicle.
