20-Year-Old Suspect Accused Of 5 Bank Robberies In Tacoma Area
The young man has been charged with five counts of robbery, but police say he may have been behind other incidents.
TACOMA, WA β A young man is behind bars after police say they linked him to a string of recent robberies in Pierce County.
According to the Tacoma Police Department, the 20-year-old suspect robbed five banks total, three in Tacoma and two in Fircrest. In one of the robberies at the Tapco Credit Union on 6th Avenue, the suspect reportedly passed a teller a threatening note, demanding cash.
Following his arrest this week, the suspect has been booked into the Pierce County Jail. He faces at least five counts of robbery, though police say he may have been behind other robberies in the area, and are continuing to investigate.
