2nd Suspect Arrested For Hit-And-Run That Killed 12-Year-Old Girl
Deputies say they believe the suspect helped the driver escape after a deadly hit-and-run that killed one young girl and injured another.

PIERCE COUNTY, WA β A second suspect has been arrested, accused of involvement in the deadly hit-and-run crash that took the life of a young girl earlier this month.
According to deputies, back on Saturday, Jan. 15, two 12-year-old girls were walking along 104th Street near the intersection with 24th Avenue E in Midland, when they were hit by a white flatbed pickup truck.
One of the girls, identified by family members as Immaculee Goldade, was killed, and the other was critically injured. Instead of stopping to help, the pickup driver took off, and ultimately abandoned the vehicle nearby.

Pierce County Sheriff's Department investigators quickly determined the truck had been stolen, and linked it to a recent crime in the area. Thanks to tips from the community, deputies arrested a man they believe to be the driver in a SWAT operation early Wednesday morning.
Now, deputies say they've captured a second suspect who helped the first make his escape. According to a post from the Pierce County Sheriff's Department early Thursday evening, deputies had been on the lookout for a second vehicle, which had helped the hit-and-run driver flee the scene shortly after the fatal crash. An undercover deputy spotted the car in question Thursday afternoon, but when officers tried to pull it over, it took off.

As the vehicle fled, it hit a semi truck, before slamming into a power pole and coming to rest. The driver, a 33-year-old man, has been taken to the hospital, but will be booked into the Pierce County Jail on suspicion of burglary in the second degree, possession of stolen property, and rendering criminal assistance.
Meanwhile, the driver who caused the crash was arraigned Thursday, and has had his bail set at $1 million dollars. The driver, identified by The News Tribune as Terry Matthew James Kohl has reportedly pled not guilty to charges of vehicular homicide, vehicular assault, felony hit-and-run death, hit-and-run injury, possession of stolen property, unlawful possession of a firearm, and burglary in the first degree.
