Daffodil Parade Will Close Roads Across Pierce County On Saturday

Streets in Tacoma, Puyallup, Sumner and Orting will require temporary closures Saturday morning/afternoon during the annual Daffodil Parade.

PUYALLUP, WA - Saturday's Daffodil Parade in Puyallup will require a street closure beginning around 11 a.m. in the downtown area. Detour routes will be marked during the event.

The 86th annual Daffodil Parade in Tacoma, Puyallup, Sumner, and Orting is a yearly celebration of the Pierce County communities' history, traditions, and continued growth, according to parade organizers.

More than 180 individual entries will participate in this year's parade, which will include floats, bands, military units, community and school organizations, businesses, and city representatives all adorned with thousands of daffodils.

Parade start times for April 6 are as follows:

  • Tacoma – 10:15 a.m.
  • Puyallup – 12:45 p.m.
  • Sumner – 2:30 p.m.
  • Orting – 5 p.m.
