Police picked up multiple drunk drivers who'd already been arrested for DUI in this iteration of the ever-popular Puyallup Police crime log.

PUYALLUP, WA - Some people just don't seem to learn from their mistakes, as this latest crime log from Puyallup clearly illustrates, covering select entries from March 29 to April 1.

Residential Burglary - storage shed

500-block of Fourth Street Northeast

Suspects associated with a newer model Kia or Hyundai, gray in color, reportedly fled this area after stealing several power tools and construction equipment from an unlocked shed.

3939 10th St. SE - Hartland Place Apartments

After she got her "friend" to admit he'd stolen and dumped her purse while staying with her, a woman learned the spare key to her black 2004 Hyundai was also missing β€” as was the vehicle itself and the "friend."

A man's work truck and personal vehicle were burglarized while sitting in his driveway overnight. A backpack and laptop were entered as stolen.

Burglary to shed

3000-block of 25th Avenue Court Southeast

A resident reportedly found his burglarized lawn equipment for sale on Facebook. The items included a leaf blower, nail gun, and weed eater, which were all taken from his shed.

DV Assault/False Statements/Warrant

3001 S. Meridian - 7-Eleven

Police arrested a man who was found to be the "primary aggressor" in a domestic violence incident that occurred inside a couple's van. Apparently, the man hit and spit on the woman with whom he stayed in the van. The man was arrested after lying about his name to conceal a Puyallup police warrant.

Counterfeiting

1201 39th Ave. SW - Costco

A woman who used a Costco card that did not belong to her gained access to the store only to be thwarted at the register when Costco employees caught her attempting to pass a counterfeit $100 bill. The woman reportedly told police she didn't know the money was fake. Police did not reveal her excuse for the Costco card.

Court Order Violation

2905 Fifth Ave. NE - Riverside Park Apartments

A man who was previously issued a No Contact order that prohibits him from coming within 1,000 feet of his ex-girlfriend's apartment reportedly entered the apartment when his ex was not home β€” which evidently surprised the babysitter who was. The man fled before police arrived, but a summons was issued.

A backpack was stolen from the victim’s unlocked vehicle.

3500 S. Meridian - Victoria Secret

A male and female stole nearly $1,000 in merchandise. Report to CSU.

1600-block of Industrial Park Way

The victim reported that his light green TRL bicycle had been stolen, with the bike cable cut, while he was at work.

PSP/False Statement/Trespass/Warrant/UPDP

310 31st Ave. SE - Walmart

Two men were arrested after they were seen smoking both methamphetamine and heroin in a parked car. One of the men had previously been trespassed from Walmart and had multiple warrants. The other man reportedly tried to lie about his name, but officers found his true identity with help from their mobile fingerprint scanner.

Newly minted K9 Otto searched the suspect's vehicle and found meth and paraphernalia, as well as a large assortment of stolen credit cards.

DUI Collision

320 Fifth St. SE

A man who was nearly double the legal limit for driving under the influence was arrested for DUI after hitting a parked car and rolling his vehicle. Though he was uninjured, the man provided BAC samples of .149 and .146 percent.

1200-block of West Main Avenue

A resident recently purchased a home in the area and while trimming/landscaping he located a .22 semi-auto pistol.

2500-block of East Main Avenue

A woman told police her unlocked 2012 Kia was burglarized overnight while the car was parked in her driveway. Miscellaneous items were stolen, but the suspect(s) evidently left behind a woman's light blue zip-up jacket.

Shoplift turned Robbery

3500 S. Meridian

Two men are wanted for the alleged robbery of athletic clothing. According to police, the men took clothing from the racks and fled the store, pushing loss prevention staff as they ran. The men then hopped into a beat-up, white Ford Crown Victoria with tinted windows that's apparently missing paint from the trunk area. The men were last seen entering SR-512.

The men are both thought to be between 30 and 40 years old. One of the men is about 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds. The other man, a Pacific Islander with dreadlocks, is around 6-foot-5 and 300 pounds.

DV Assault 4th Degree, DV Unlawful Imprisonment

407 Valley Ave. NE - Meridian Pointe Apartments

A woman who'd previously made an agreement with her boyfriend to breakup confronted him about moving out, as they'd agreed. Instead of handling it maturely, however, the man opted to douse himself with hot candle wax before producing a knife and threatening to hurt himself if she did not change her mind.

The woman, undeterred by his threats, tried to leave their shared apartment only to be held by the man, who then refused to let her go. Prying away, the woman ran to the apartment balcony to call 911. As she did so, the man fled the apartment.

A man with a suspended license who'd gotten around his ignition interlock requirement was arrested after he was pulled over for moving violations and found to be just over the legal limit for driving under the influence.

310 31st Ave. SE - Walmart

A man and woman with a No Contact order issued between them were caught together in a suspicious vehicle. The woman was ultimately arrested after police determined the man was the person protected by the order β€” and because the woman had warrants out of Lakewood for previously violating the No Contact order.

Weapons Violation/Stolen Firearm/Theft

3500 S. Meridian - Macy's

Two men were arrested after they were caught shoplifting. Along with the stolen merchandise, the suspects also possessed a .38 revolver that was reported stolen from Renton.

Warrant/False Statements/DWLS/Search Warrant

3700-block of Fifth Street Southeast

A man and woman were arrested when police determined the man was driving with a suspended license and the woman had a warrant. During their arrests, K9 Otto searched the suspect vehicle and found drug paraphernalia.

Malicious Mischief

3717 S. Meridian - Petco

Two males were involved in a road rage incident. While in the parking lot one male stood in front of the other’s vehicle to block it. There were claims that a side view mirror was punched off a car, but the other disagrees and claims the owner hit him with the car (while driving) and the mirror fell off. Report to Prosecutor for review.

A woman was arrested at Mattress Firm after she refused to the leave the store.

100 River Rd.

A man who was pulled over for expired tags was also found to be driving while suspended due to a DUI arrest in January. Incidentally, he was also drunk in this instance, providing BAC results nearly double the legal limit. He was arrested.

UPCS/PSP/Retail Theft with Extenuating Circumstances

3500 S. Meridian - Macy's

A woman who was caught shoplifting was arrested. In her possession at the time of her arrest, police found tools for defeating security devices, heroin, meth, and numerous credit cards and IDs not belonging to her.

The victim’s iPhone XS was stolen after she forgot it in the restaurant.

1900 S. Meridian

A 19-year-old woman was arrested for DUI after failing sobriety tests and returning BAC results more than double the legal limit.

Puyallup police K9 Maverick assisted with an arrest in Lakewood involving a DV burglary a No Contact order violation.

Police located a stolen car from Federal Way in the Nazarene Church parking lot. The car's owner was able to retrieve it without additional incident.

2700-block of 26th Avenue Southeast

Theft from an unlocked shed overnight. Items taken included a Stihl 028 Chainsaw, Troy Built 2800 PSI Pressure Washer and sporting goods equipment.

1500-block of 31st Avenue Southwest

The victim’s garbage can was found destroyed. Their mailbox was destroyed and completely uprooted from the ground. Mailbox parts were strewn on the lawn and neighbor's lawn.

310 31st Ave. SE - Walmart

A female was observed by loss prevention taking merchandise and eventually under-ringing the merchandise within the self-checkout lane. She was detained by loss prevention as she left the store. She was unable to be booked due to jail capacity and was cited.

3310 S. Meridian - Target

An officer contacted a male after he was detained by loss prevention for exiting the store without paying for merchandise. He was cited.

Warrant

1124 River Rd.

A 34-year-old male was contacted inside a Value Village donation bin. He had a confirmed DOC warrant and was released to his parole officer.

Identity Theft

200-block of West Pioneer

Someone used the victim’s information to purchase a cell phone from T Mobile in New York. The transaction occurred in 2017.

A 29-year-old male was trespassing on New Hope property. He was booked.

Burglary, Theft

700-block of 30th Avenue Southwest

Sometime within the last three days someone broke into the victim’s home. It appears that nothing was taken. The victim had two trailers on the property and the license plates were stolen off both trailers. They were entered as stolen.

Possession of a Stolen Vehicle

120 31st Ave. SE

A 30-year-old male was stopped for not wearing his seatbelt. Turns out that he was also driving a stolen vehicle out of Wyoming β€” a 2008 Hyundai. He denied stealing the vehicle. He was booked.

Assault 4th DV, Malicious Mischief DV

400-block of Fourth Street Northeast

A 23-year-old female assaulted her mother by pushing her. After the assault, the mother locked herself in a bedroom and the daughter proceeded to break dishes. They were arguing over the daughter's drug use. She was booked.

Theft from Vehicle

3100-block of Fifth Avenue Court Southwest

Sometime overnight someone entered the victim’s vehicle and stole several of his power and hand tools. The victim had serial numbers for his power tools and they were entered as stolen.

Drug Paraphernalia

1323 E. Main Ave.

A female was called in as being associated with a suspicious vehicle in the Rite Aid parking lot. She was observed passed out inside the vehicle with a needle still in her right arm and a thick blue rubber band wrapped around the same arm. She admitted she last shot up about an hour before officers contacted her but fell asleep with the needle in her arm to shoot up again. She was booked.

705 S. Meridian

A woman who was reportedly just released from jail was arrested again after causing a disturbance at a Jack in the Box restaurant.

2500-block of South Meridian

A man reported his blue 2012 Chevrolet Cruz was stolen overnight from the complex parking lot.
