An elderly woman was transported to the hospital after driving her car off an elevated parking structure in Puyallup at 8 a.m. this morning.
She was parked in a physician's office parking lot in the 120 block of 14th Ave. SE.
Central Pierce Fire and Rescue assistant chief Randy Stephens said that it appeared as though she put her car in drive instead of reverse. She drove through a wrought-iron railing and dropped 10 feet to the ground.
There was no other property damage or injury reported and she was conscious throughout the incident.
