Featured Event: Draft Horses Plow Fields at Mother Earth Farm

Mother Earth Farm will employ four to six teams of drivers and draft horses will plow and ready the fields for planting at Emergency Food this weekend to get ready for the upcoming season.

This annual event exemplifies the spirit of the program.Β  Mother Earth Farm grows more than 40 varieties of vegetables, as well as fruit trees.

  1. First, create a user profile by clicking "Join" at the top right of the Patch Publication's home page. If you already have an account, go ahead and log into the site by clicking "Sign In," also located at the top right of the homepage.Β 
  2. Click on "Events" on the top of the page.
  3. At the bottom of the Events page, click "Add an Event."
  4. Give your event a title.
  5. Choose a date, starting time and end time. If your event repeats, check the box that says "This event happens more than once or is an ongoing event."
  6. Under "Where," type in the address only. Once you have a location, click on that location to save it.
  7. Fill out a description for your event. Tell us why we should be there and what to expect at the event.
  8. Choose a category and fill out any other information, such as who the event is best for, the price, a contact number or email address, website, etc.
  9. Click "Post My Event."
  10. We also recommend that you add photos, videos or a flier, click "Upload Photos, Videos & JPGs" from the menu above your posted event and follow the prompts.
  11. Share your event on Facebook and tell all your friends how easy it was!
